 Sustrans  The bicycle riders network of paths in the North of England.
 English Nature  Information on the Lancashire Plain, with links to related areas...
 The National Trust  The National Trust owns land on the Sefton Coast - this is their 'Northwest England' page.
 Woodland Trust  The Woodland Trust administers many woods in all areas.
 Wildlife Trust  The Wildlife Trust in Lancashire - they manage local sites in Manchester and Merseyside too.

Two sites from the Local Authority that manages the largest portion of the dunes we walk through on the west coast.
 Mersey Forest  An interesting page that links to many local area maps (don't try this in a hurry though: the images quite large!) with woods.
 R S P B  Reserves in the Northwest, linking also to national information.
 W W T  The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust nearby property at Martin Mere.
 A recent cyclists' trip  Details of a cycling trip from Lymm to Hornsea by a group of friends, with comments on terrain and signage that strike a chord with me, at least!
