Liverpool to the western outskirts of Manchester
An issue around Manchester, at least, seems to be the uneasy sharing of sections of the path with motorcyclists - particularly around Heaton Mersey.
In fairness, on a recent sunny Sunday (April 27), they slowed right down when passing walkers, even thanking an elderly couple who moved to the side of the path to let them pass.
What it is like for a horse-rider I don't know, but the path from Didsbury to Heaton Norris had both hoofprints and tyre tracks a-plenty and, in two hours between 2 and 4pm I was passed and re-passed many times by kids on trail bikes... And yes, they DID slow down!
